Upgrading to Windows 10

I took the leap and upgraded to windows 10 on my personal laptop. At first I was worried that the upgrade would not work and I would lose all my data. So I backed up the laptop and proceeded with the upgrade.

I created a USB drive install copy of windows 10 and ran the upgrade from windows 8.1. It was pretty simple to walk through all of the wizard like pages. After several reboots, I was able to get to the desktop screen.

First impressions is that the START MENU is back!!! But it has tiles attached to the right side of the menu. I will be google searching to find a way to remove that.

Overall I like it, it would be nice if you didn’t have to have a Microsoft account to use certain features like Cortana which is really cool.
